Artist Patrick Marold was inspired by the cycle of water in Colorado and the creek that flows under Delgany Bridge to create an intentionally subtle architectural sculpture at the bridge.  The title, VIRGA, alludes to the characteristics of a virga cloud which contain thin, fleeting streaks of rain that evaporate before reaching the ground.  The steel rods trailing down from the rafters of the bridge are often unnoticed, having faded into their environment.  Pass by when they are glowing with light reflected from the sky and you will be entranced.  VIRGA shifts with the cycles of nature - the nuances of light throughout the day, the changing weather and the seasons.

"The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance."
- Aristotle
